We’re a pack of dog lovers, dreamers, and makers who believe every pup deserves to strut their stuff in style. What started as a single handmade martingale collar for a rescue pup has blossomed into a tail-wagging collection of custom collars, gifts, and gear that celebrate the joy (and occasional chaos) of dog life. Story
Get to Know Us
Our journey from animal enthusiasts to entrepreneurs.
I’m Finn, an animal lover, dog parent, volunteer, and foster. My sister Kenzie is a veterinarian, dog parent and volunteer. Our homes have always been filled with furry friends. As we devoted more time to rescue efforts, we quickly noticed the lack of affordable, stylish, quality martingale collars in the market. We were tired of the limited and dull options currently available at exorbitant prices.
Determined to make a change, we decided to take matters into our own hands. After a few DIY tutorials, numerous trips to the fabric store and some trial and error with the sewing machine, our first batch of martingale collars appeared. The array of colors prints and patterns of fabric available was overwhelming. The possibilities were endless, and we couldn’t choose just a few. Each week, we continued to add to our collection, each more vibrant and unique than the last. Our dining room table became a makeshift workshop overflowing with colorful and vibrant collage of martingale collars, each more eye-catching than the last.
The excitement of choosing from such an array of colors, prints and patterns was contagious, and family and friends were soon asking for their own. And just like that, Muddy Paws Collars was born.
